NEPTUNE, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops traveled down to the Hoop Group Headquarters to catch some of the action from the second week of the fall league there. In one of the 8:00 PM games, Cardinal McCarrick was taking on Lakewood, and the game had a pretty good ending although Lakewood ended up winning the game by four after McCarrick tied it late. Below are some notes from the last four minutes or so of the contest.

2:05–CM–Sky Harris draws charge–CM ball.
1:20–LAKE–gets basket for a 46-44 lead.
38.5–LAKE–calls timeout after getting rebound off a missed shot by CM.
30.5–LAKE–fouled in backcourt–misses 1 and 1
17.0–LAKE–fouled after missd jumper by Jacquan Madden–LAKE misses FT–front end of one and one.
15.5–LAKE–steal for layup and a 48-44 lead.
0.0–CM–unable to score as time runs out.–LAKE wins 48-44.
GMC Hoops plans to be back out at the HGHQ next Monday night.
