TOMS RIVER–On Wednesday afternoon, GMC Hoops traveled over to Pine Belt Arena for the two quarterfinal round games in the 2015 Tournament of Champions. The first game pitted the Group I Champion, Paulsboro of South Jersey against Group III Champion, Bergenfield of the Big North Conference. Behind 29 points from Saleem Little and 19 points from Theo Holloway, Paulsboro put together a 36-11 surge to end the first half to take a 46-26 lead at the intermission, and coasted to a 90-65 victory. 2:30–Bergenfield then scores the next 4 points sparked by a dunk from Jovani Haskins to pull within 59-39.
0:00–Paulsboro finishes the quarter on a 7-4 run to take a 66-43 lead after three.
Fourth Quarter
6:29–Paulsboro opens fourth with the first score, but Bergenfield responds with 7 of the next 9 points including another dunk by Jovani Haskins for a 71-50 Paulsboro lead.
5:45–After a Paulsboro score, Herby Cabrol nets a three pointer to close the gap to 73-54.
4:10–Bergenfield calls timeout after a 6-0 run by Paulsboro for a 79-54 lead.
1:58–DJ Haskins fouled and makes two fts for an 82-58 Paulsboro lead. Reserves come into the game for Bergenfield.
