PERTH AMBOY, NJ–The finale of the 2008-09 GMC Basketball Season will take place tonight at Perth Amboy High School with both the Boys and Girls Senior All-Star Games. GMC Hoops plans to be there to cover the event, which will have a special benefit game between the two contests.
The first game will take place at 6:00 PM, and will be between the Girls Senior All-Stars. The Boys Senior All-Star Game will convene at 8:00 PM. In between the two games, this special night takes on even greater meaning as varsity and assistant coaches for both boys and girls teams will participate in a Coaches Against Cancer game. This game will be played for 20 minutes with the benefits to raise money for cancer research.
All proceeds from the night’s festivities will go to the American Cancer Society and the Gene Haley Memorial Scholarship Fund. Tickets will be $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for students. This year will mark the third time in the past four years that the web site will be attending the showcase. Video highlights from the Boys Contest as well as the Coaches for Cancer game will be eventually posted.
