Here are highlights of the action in the opening night game of the 2014-15 season from the GMC Red Division between top ranked and defending GMCT and TOC Champion, St. Joseph’s and fifth ranked South Brunswick. Leading by only two at 13-11 with 4:34 left in the first half, St. Joseph’s went on a 25-8 surge over a span of 10:58 highlighted by a major throw down dunk by Breein Tyree to take a commanding 38-19 lead with 1:36 left in the third en route to a 53-34 victory. Tyree ended up with 17 points while Branislav Vujadinovic chipped in with 13 including three treys. Junior Eric Savage led South Brunswick in a losing cause with 13 points while senior teammate Jack Engel chipped in with 8.
