Here is a slideshow of photos taken from the action in the GMC Hoops JV Game of the Week for opening weekend of the 2014-15 season between St. Joseph’s and South Brunswick. Led by sophomore Xavier Townes, who scored 15 points and fellow soph Dexter Jackson, who connected on all three of his treys in the third quarter for 9 points on the night, St. Joseph’s overcame a 20-18 first half deficit with a 19-9 showing in the third quarter to take a 37-29 lead, and then held off a furious rally by South Brunswick to come away with the 43-38 victory. Danesh Thirukmaran scored 10 points to lead South Brunswick while Isaiah Franklin chipped in with 8.
