PISCATAWAY, NJ–History was made on Friday night as top seeded St. Joseph’s became the first GMC team since the mid 1980s to win three consecutive MCT/GMCT titles with a 70-65 victory over second seeded North Brunswick. St. Joseph’s was led by tournament MVP Quenton DeCosey with 24 points and 12 rebounds while Karl Towns also excelled for the winners. Danny Brix, Jimbo Long, and Karim Awad also made important contributions as all five Falcons played the entire game. North Brunswick trailed by 13 on several occasions in the contest, but didn’t give up until the final buzzer sounded. Below is the play-by-play from the contest.
