BRIDGEWATER, NJ–Sophomore Anthony Vidal scored 10 of his 15 points in the opening period as Amboy Tech outscored Somerset Tech 19-6. Vidal nailed 3 treys for the game and also had 3 assists and a team leading 6 steals.
Junior Anthony Patterson tallied his fourth double-double in a row as he scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Joey Castro added nine points for the Patriots along with 5 assists and 4 boards.
Junior guard Alex Sanz dropped in 12 points as well 5 steals and 3 assists. Forward Anthony Rodriguez anchored the defense with 4 steals, 4 rebounds and 3 assists and a charge.
The bench was led by Wilson Lopez, Jon Aquije, Ruben Plata, Angel Gomez and Nelson Lopez.
Kenny Rose led the Jags with 11 points. With the victory, Perth Amboy Tech improved to 5-3 overall on the season, and evened their record against non-conference opponents to 1-1. Somerset Tech is still winless at 0-7.
