80 Games For GMC Hoops So Far In 2007-08

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–With today’s trip to St. Joseph’s to cover the 2008 East Brunswick/GMC JV Tournament Quarterfinal matchup between the Junior Falcons and Immaculata, GMC Hoops has seen a total of 80 regular season and tournament games this season. The web site has also covered seven college games, and nine scrimmages. There is still much more to cover, and it all starts tomorrow with a trip to Middlesex County College for the 2008 GMCT Elite Eight, which gets underway at 12:00 PM when sixth seeded St. Joseph’s takes on third seeded Bishop Ahr.

Then on Monday, the site plans to be at EBHS to see the Final Four of the JV Tournament. Tuesday, it’s another semifinal doubleheader, but this time it is for the 2008 GMCT at South Brunswick High School. On Wednesday, it is a trip to Perth Amboy High to see the Final Four of the 2008 Perth Amboy/GMC Freshmen Tournament. Things settle down a little bit with just a Championship Game from the EB/GMC JV Tournament, but Friday things balance out with a tripleheader of games including the Consolation and Championship of the Perth Amboy/GMC Frosh Tourney, and then the much anticipated title tilt for all the marbles in the Greater Middlesex Conference from the Rutgers Athletic Center.

On Saturday, the web site will go out of conference to take a trip to Union High School for a special benefit game between the Farmers and Tyreke “The Beast” Evans and American Christian School of Aston, Pennsylvania. There also may be coverage of the East Brunswick Middle School Tournament earlier in the day. So, there is quite an arduous schedule ahead for GMC Hoops.
