NEPTUNE, NJ–On Sunday, GMC Hoops posted an entry in the blog on the controversy that took place at the 2008 Rebounds Spring League. Last Monday, East Brunswick took on Point Pleasant Boro in the second week of action in the league. In a contest that went to overtime, and saw the Panthers from Ocean County rally from a nine point deficit, and take a four point lead, Point Boro wound up prevailing in the extra session by one, 52-51. This game was affected by problems with the scoreboard operator as well. So, there wasn’t a Dewey Defeats Truman moment, and GMC Hoops did get the final result right in its original article.
