COLONIA, NJ–On Thursday night, June 26th, the 2008 Colonia JV Summer League had its opening night of action with a full slate of games starting at 5:00 PM, and continuing at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM. There are a total of 13 teams in this league including two that are freshmen from Colonia and Cardinal McCarrick respectively. While GMC Hoops was unable to attend the opening night festivities, Colonia JV and assistant coach, Brian O’Lone was able to provide us with the results. Below are the results from the first night of action in this league:
- St Marys (Elizabeth) 50–Metuchen 23
- Perth Amboy 42–Colonia III 20
- Edison 56–McCarrick II 25
- McCarrick 44–Middlesex 30
There were more games played on Friday as well. Those results will be posted in another blog entry. GMC Hoops plans to take in some of the action from this league this week.
