Middlesex County College Summer League–North Brunswick Wins Championship

EDISON, NJ–On Thursday night, the Championship Game of the 2008 Middlesex County College Summer League was played before a decent crowd at the Physical Education Center on the main campus of MCC. Both top seeded North Brunswick and second seeded Keyport advanced to the finals by defeating Timothy Christian I and Perth Amboy Vo-Tech respectively in the Final Four. GMC Hoops was unable to attend the contest due to playoff coverage of the Linden Summer League, TBSA Summer League, and the Bound Brook Summer League. However, the site did learn thanks to North Brunswick long time head coach, Ed Breheney, that the Raiders avenged a 42-34 loss to Keyport on July 15th with a 51-45 victory to get the title. The Raiders, which completed the regular season at 8-1 and earned a bye in the first round, concluded the summer at MCC with an 11-1 overall record.
