2009 Rebounds Spring League–Correction–There’s A GMC Team

NEPTUNE, NJ–On Friday afternoon, GMC Hoops learned from the HoopGroup web site that the Greater Middlesex Conference does have a team competing in this year’s Spring League at Rebounds. After not competing in last year’s Spring League, the Monroe Falcons, coming off a solid season at all levels of play, has a team in this year’s league. The Purple Birds, which won the 2009 East Brunswick/GMC JV Tournament in addition to Final Four berths in the 2009 Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament, and the 2009 Perth Amboy/GMC Freshmen Tournament, lost their opener to Manchester. GMC Hoops had received the original season schedule on Monday night at Rebounds, but no GMC schools were listed at the time.
