It happens at least once a year, and often, it occurs multiple times. It is the scheduling snafu. These occur when a game is played at a different time than when it appears on the schedule. Such a snafu occurred today for GMC Hoops. Earlier today, I had made a last second change to my schedule by adding the game between Perth Amboy Tech and Wardlaw today in North Edison. According to the Amboy Tech schedule, the game was for 5:30 PM.
However, when I got to the gym this afternoon at exactly 5:30, I arrived to see that the JV game was starting. I learned a little while later that the two varsity teams had already played, and Wardlaw won its second game of the year by the score of 58-50. I watched the first half of the JV game (Amboy Tech led 31-26 at the break), and then left for Bishop Ahr to watch the Trojans take on Metuchen. Now, I understand that these things happen, but I was disappointed because I was hoping to see the Patriots for the second time this season, and make a visit to Wardlaw for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
