Friday Schedule Changes Already Starting To Happen

Latest Winter Storm Threat Has Teams Moving Up Games To Friday Afternoon

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–As the last couple days have progressed, teams have begun scrambling to move up contests from Friday night to late Friday afternoon in hopes of beating a possible winter storm heading up the Mid-Atlantic and East Coast on Friday night into Saturday. High clouds are already starting to move in from the south and the west, and Friday’s forecast is calling for cloudy skies all day.

However, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning from 6:00 PM on Friday to 7:00 PM on Saturday. Snowfall amounts across Central Jersey could range from 8 to 12 inches. Portions of South Jersey as well as Delaware are under a Blizzard Warning for conditions consisting of 12 to 18 inches of snow along the coast to up to two feet in more inland areas.

As a result, several games scheduled for Friday night at 7:00 PM have been moved up including the following:

  • East Brunswick at South Brunswick, 4:00 PM
  • Cardinal McCarrick at Colonia, 4:00 PM
  • Timothy Christian at Middlesex, 4:00 PM
  • St. Joseph’s at Piscataway, 5:15 PM

Note: Expect this list to change as the forecast becomes more and more of a certainty.
