ALLENTOWN, NJ–In preparation for the big final weekend ahead in high school summer hoops, GMC Hoops has posted the directions to Allentown High School in the Upper Freehold District of Monmouth County. The Summer Prime Time Shootout is scheduled to take place there with 72 games involving 36 teams in two different gyms over a span of three days starting on Friday afternoon. Below are the directions:
From New York
- Take NJ Turnpike south to Exit 7A
- Take I-195 east to Exit 7 (Allentown/Washington) turn right onto C.R.526.
- Continue on C.R.526 to traffic light in Allentown.
- Turn right onto C.R.539, continue through town and cross over Lake.
- Turn left at first street after Lake (C.R.539).
- School is about 1/4 mile on right.
Note: Remember Exit 7A usually backs up between 9:30-10:00 am because of Great Adventure traffic taking this exit, so you may want to get off at Exit 8-Hightstown, take Rte 33 west to Rte 130 south to I-195 east to the Allentown exit.
From the South
- Take NJ Turnpike to Exit 7A and follow directions above from Exit 7A.
From Pennsylvania
- Take Pa. Turnpike (276) east.
- Take NJ Turnpike south to Exit 7A.
- Take I-195 east to Exit 7 (Allentown/Washington) turn right onto C.R.526.
- Continue on C.R.526 to traffic light in Allentown.
- turn right onto C.R.539, continue through town and cross over Lake.
- Turn left at first street after Lake (C.R.539).
- School is about l/4 mile on right.
GMC Hoops plans to head over to Allentown on Friday afternoon for some of the first day action.
