NEPTUNE, NJ–On Monday night, GMC Hoops traveled down to the Hoop Group Headquarters to take in a game in the fall league there. It was the fourth week of action in this league, and the site got to see one GMC team in action as Old Bridge rallied from a three point deficit with 43 seconds left to defeat Ocean Township in the waning seconds, 31-29. The site also got results of three other games. Here are some of the results from the games played on Monday night.
2010 Hoop Group Headquarters Fall League–Some Results–Week Four–October 4, 2010
- Old Bridge 31–Ocean Township 29–The Knights trailed 29-26 with 43 seconds left, but got a three pointer at the 41 second mark, and then a layup with five seconds left for the two point lead. Ocean had a chance to tie, but lost the ball out of bounds as time ran out.
- Manasquan 49–Brick Memorial 45
- Manchester Township 43–St. Rose 39–Manchester led 42-32 late, but had to hang on for the four point victory.
- Jackson Memorial 33–Monsignor Donovan 30–Mon Don led 30-22 with less than three minutes to go, but the Jaguars rallied to win on a three pointer at the buzzer.
