J.F. Kennedy’s Robinson Playing In PAHoops.org All-Star Game

ISELIN, NJ–On Wednesday, GMC Hoops received word from J.F. Kennedy head coach, Chris Banos that senior guard, Daishon Robinson will be representing the Greater Middlesex Conference in the PAHoops.org Pennsylvania vs. New Jersey All-Star Game on Friday night at 9:00 PM at Middletown High School in Pennsylvania.

Robinson, who helped guide the Mustangs to their first GMCT Elite Eight berth since 1990 before falling to arch rival Bishop Ahr, is one of 16 players representing the Garden State in this game against the Keystone State. This is also not the only time a player from the GMC has participated in this particular showcase game. Five players from Middlesex County have played in this event, which has been going on since the 2004 season. They include: Charles Edwards of Piscataway Tech (2004), Marquis Jones of South Plainfield (2005), Kenny Widgeon of St. Joseph’s (2006), and both Larry Lenahan of South Amboy and Dejuan Miller of Metuchen (2008).

Kennedy, which is going to join South Plainfield in participating in the upcoming Kean Spring League later this month, went 13-9 overall this past season including an 8-4 record for third place in the GMC Blue Division. It was the first winning season for the Mustangs since 2002. The Mustangs recorded a huge upset victory over fourth seeded North Brunswick in the GMCT Round of 16.
