Colonia’s Edmonds Has Solid Season At Harcum College

Former Patriots Standout Puts Up Big Numbers At Pennsylvania JUCO

BRYN MAWR, PA–There are several GMC players making waves on the Junior College level. One of those players is Kevin Edmonds, a former standout from Colonia High School. Edmonds, who led the Patriots to the North Jersey Section 2 Group III Championship over Union Hill back in 2007, is coming into his own at Harcum College in Pennsylvania.

Edmonds, a sophomore at the school, played in 28 of his team’s 29 games, and averaged just over 17 points per game, which was tops on the team. Edmonds also led the team in rebounding with just over 9.2 boards per contest. The 6’8″ forward also collected 2.0 assists per game (5th on the team) and 2.0 steals per game (2nd on the team). He also picked up with a team high of 61 blocks, or just over 2.0 per contest.

Edmonds connected on 185 of 325 shots, or just under 57 percent from the floor overall, which ranked second on the team. He also connected on 11 of 50 from beyond the arc, and went 97 of 125 from the foul line for 77.6 percent. Harcum, which is a member of Region XIX, and has an enrollment of about 850 students, went 22-7 this past season including a playoff appearance.
