COLONIA, NJ–On Tuesday night, GMC Hoops began the new year with a trip out to Colonia High School for the first time in two years to catch the Patriots in action against South Brunswick. After the Patriots pulled to within 9-8 at the 2:40 mark of the first, the Vikings closed the period with the last seven points including a three by Mike Green for a 16-8 lead, and then opened the second with a trey by Dion Hooper for a 19-8 lead. From there, the Vikes coasted to 35-16 first half lead on five threes while limiting Colonia to only 6 field goals. South Brunswick went on to win 62-32.
