NORTH EDISON, NJ–It was an early season GMC Blue showdown as unbeaten Carteret rolled into Bishop Ahr on Wednesday night. The Trojans had a 36-31 lead after three quarters only to have Carteret rally with a 9-3 spurt to take a 40-39 lead on a three pointer with 4:37 left. The Ramblers managed to maintain a two point lead until one second left in regulation when senior guard, Roger Kilgore scored on a layup to tie the game at 44-44, and force overtime. In the overtime, Kilgore opened the scoring with a drive for a layin while Daniel Timi added two scores before Dillon Salva and Kenny Virden wrapped up the 52-45 win by making one of two from the line over the final 19.8 seconds.
