BOUND BROOK, NJ–The opening round of the 2012 Bound Brook Summer League playoffs was capped by a matchup between Hunterdon Central and New Brunswick two teams that have seen each other before in post-season play from this league. The Devils, which knocked the Zebras out of the tournament several years ago in the quarterfinal round, jumped out to a 45-29 lead with less than four minutes to play, but New Brunswick showed a lot of fight by rallying with a 13-0 run to end the game. The Zebras even had a chance to tie, but a desperation heave fell short at the buzzer as Hunterdon Central advanced 45-42. Below are some notes from the second half of the contest.
