SPOTSWOOD, NJ–Following the contest between New Brunswick and North Brunswick, GMC Hoops traveled over to the Spotswood Athletic Center on the campus of Spotswood High School to see the Chargers take on South Plainfield in a Blue Division clash. Spotswood jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the first 4:42 of the contest before going on a 10-0 run to end the period as Jake Dadika and Dalonte Grant hit threes for a 20-4 lead. The Tigers, led by the efforts of Claude Payne, eventually trailed 38-16 with 2:43 to go in the first half before going on a 19-6 tear over a span of nearly eight minutes to pull within nine on a couple of occasions late in the third. However, Dadika, Grant, and Company ended up being too much for the visitors as the Chargers finished the game with a 24-7 surge in the final 9:39 to come away with the 74-46 win.
