UNION, NJ–On the final night of action at the 2014 Kean University Spring League over at Harwood Arena. Three games were on tap including two semifinal matchups and then the championship. The lone remaining GMC team, Piscataway faced off against top seeded Newark Central one of the two semifinals. The Chiefs scored off the opening tip, and actually had a 4-2 lead in the opening minutes of the contest, but once Newark Central was able to get its first field goal of the game, and put its full court pressure into action, the Blue Devils began to roll with a 17-3 tear over a span of 10:43 to take a 19-7 lead, and were never threatened again in a 53-33 victory.
