Here are highlights from the action between South Amboy and the Avenel Redhawks in a high school contest at the 2014 Raritan Bay Summer League. After Ryan O’Leary and Sean Kudelka that closed the gap to two at 41-39 with less than nine and a half minutes in the game, the Guvs of South Amboy didn’t muster much offense after that as Avenel didn’t allow a single field goal and just one point in the last 9:28 while scoring 9 points to pull away for a 50-40 victory. Carteret standout junior, Brandon Gilder led the charge for the Redhawks with a game high 25 points including four three pointers.
