GMC Gridiron Game Capsule–Woodbridge @ South Plainfield–Freshmen Game of the Week–Week Seven–October 24, 2014

White Division Clash For 2nd Straight Week

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–On Friday afternoon, GMC Gridiron will take a short trip across town over to Frank Jost Memorial Field to see a White Division Clash between South Plainfield and Woodbridge in the Freshmen Game of the Week for Week Seven.  Woodbridge is coming off a tough loss at home last week to Colonia.  Below is the game capsule with prediction:

Woodbridge at South Plainfield–For the second straight week, GMC Gridiron will be taking in action involving the Woodbridge Barrons in the Freshmen Game of the Week.  Last season, the Barrons freshmen squad dominated the GMC White with an undefeated 9-0 record.  This season’s Barrons squad may not be as good as last year, but against Colonia, they gave the Patriots all that they could handle before losing (20-16).  The Barrons are very good at running between the tackles, and have a good target at receiver.  This is the first time GMC Gridiron will be seeing the SPHS freshmen football team.  Last year, the Tigers were supposed to play J.F. Kennedy on the road, but due to work on the football field, the game was moved to Port Reading, and we missed out on the game.  Expect the Tigers to run out of the spread, and make big plays in both the air and on the ground.  Prediction:  Woodbridge wins, 21-20.
