MONROE, NJ–On Thursday night, the Monroe Township High School Falcons was the only GMC team in action at the MSC Fall League as they took on Steinert in one of the two 8:55 PM games. Monroe fell behind early as Steinert scored the first five points, and led at one point, 12-6, but the Purple Birds turned things around behind the scoring of senior forward Tyler Salzer, who scored 15 points in the first 10:40 of the contest, 20 points in the first half, and 24 points for the game in a 57-42 victory. Junior Eddie Pinto chipped in with 11 points while Matt Cocorikis added 10 for the Falcons. Below are game notes from the action:
