Here is a slideshow of photos taken of the action from a GMC Blue Showdown between top ranked Cardinal McCarrick and 9th ranked Spotswood at the end of week five. It was all Eagles in this contest as they jumped out to a 15-2 lead late in the first quarter, and never looked back. McCarrick got off to a fast start in the second period as well with a 20-6 surge for a 35-13 lead before Spotswood scored the last 7 points of the first half. From there, Cardinal McCarrick cruised to a surprisingly easy, 69-34 victory. Gilberto Cue and Nyquan McCombs each led a balanced attack with 14 points while Hodari Bazemore and Bryan Harris each added 10, and Elijah Mitchell chipped in with 9. Marlon Hart led Spotswood with 7 points and 5 boards while Matt Ciaccio chipped in with 6 points and 8 rebounds.
