Here are some first half highlights from Union Catholic’s win over Cherry Hill West on day two of the 2015 Summer Primetime Shootout held at Trenton Catholic Academy.
Union Catholic jumped out to a 17-4 lead over the first 6:30 of the game thanks to the efforts of George Pappas and Zaire Newell, but the Lions of Cherry Hill West attempted to scrap their way back into the contest with a 9-3 run over the next 7 minutes or so to close the gap to 20-13.
However, Pappas drained back to back threes and UC got a score down low for a 28-13 lead with 4:30 left in the first half. From there, UC was never threatened as the Vikings took a 32-17 halftime lead and out scored Cherry Hill West by a 36-17 margin in the second half before the game was stopped with a minute left and UC winning 68-34.
