Monroe Pulls Away to Defeat Manalapan; Freehold Township Rallies to Beat South River
MONROE, NJ–On Thursday night, GMC Hoops traveled over to the Monroe Sports Center for the second straight night to take in a part of 9:05 PM games involving GMC teams at the 2015 MSC Fall League. On the Yellow Court, Monroe took on Manalapan in a battle of big schools while South River faced off against Freehold Township on the Red Court. Trailing 41-38, Monroe got a three pointer from freshmen Mike Kides to tie the game, and spark a decisive 13-2 run over the last 9:29 to defeat Manalapan. Meanwhile, South River built up a 28-11 lead midway through the first half before Freehold Township rallied with a 40-17 surge the rest of the way including a 35-15 showing in the second half for the win.
