St. Joseph’s to Compete in 2016 Spalding Hoophall Classic

Falcons Join Elite HS Teams In Premier Showcase Event; Face Paul VI (VA)

SPRINGFIELD, MA–Over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, St. Joseph’s will be up in Massachusetts along with several other New Jersey state powers as well as a number of notable national powerhouses in the annual Spalding Hoophall Classic at Blake Arena on the campus of Springfield College.  The Falcons will be playing on the third day of the event, January 16, 2016 against Paul VI of Virginia.

Two other teams from New Jersey, St. Anthony’s, The Patrick School, St. Benedict’s, are also participating in the showcase along with Montverde Academy (FL), Oak Hill Academy (VA), DeMatha Catholic (MD), Huntington Prep (WVA), Christ the King (NY), Westtown (PA), Findlay Prep (NV), Mater Dei (CA), Lone Peak High School (UT), Brewster Academy, and Wilbraham & Monson (MA).

The 2016 Spalding Hoophall Classic continues its tradition of talented players by featuring these standouts: Harry Giles(Oak Hill Academy), Jayson Tatum (Chaminade College Prep) (Chaminade College Prep), Malik Monk (Bentonville High School), Tyus Battle (St. Joseph High School/Metuchen, NJ), Frank Jackson (Lone Peak High School),Bam Adebayo (High Point Christian Academy), Lonzo Ball (Chino Hills High School), Markelle Fultz (Dematha Catholic High School), Thon Maker (Athlete Institute), TJ Leaf (Foothills Christian), and Kobi Simmons (St. Francis High School).
