METUCHEN, NJ–In the second game of the Freshmen, JV, and Varsity tripleheader between East Brunswick and St. Joseph’s, the JV Bears and JV Falcons went at it. Led by Ryan Granito and Danny Young, the Junior Falcons jumped out to a 22-9 lead early in the second quarter. Then, EB embarked on a 22-0 run to take a 31-22 lead before Joes hit a three before the half. In the second half, it was all St. Joseph’s as the JV Falcons outscored EB by a 30-8 margin to come away with a 55-39 victory. Granito ended up with a game high 16 while Young chipped in with 11 for the winners. Ryan Crocco led East Brunswick with 7 points including 4 in the second half while Steven Marx and Brandon Rosenthal each added 6. Below are game notes from the action:
