Here is a slideshow of photos from the GMC Gold Clash between Piscataway Tech and Timothy Christian on Monday evening. The Raiders trailed 4-3 with 2:45 left in the first before going on a 6-0 run on layups by Romelo Spencer, German Pimentel, and Daniel Peacock for a 9-4 lead after one.
TCS opened the second on an 8-2 spurt including a couple scores by Tyler Mixson for a 12-11 lead, but P-Way Tech answered with a 10-6 run that included a steal for a breakaway dunk by Pimentel for a three point lead before Mixson flipped up a shot from just inside the arc with time running out to close the gap to 21-20 at the break. The Raiders opened the second half though by scoring the first six points, and never let the Tigers get closer than three the rest of the way while pulling away for a 60-46 win.
Senior guard, Ali Austin, led the charge with 21 points while Pimentel chipped in with 16, and Branden Barnes added 10 including eight in the fourth quarter. Robert Saydee led TCS with 19 while Mixson chipped in with 13.
