In the nightcap of the Friday quadrupleheader at the 2016 Raritan Bay Summer League run at the South Amboy Middle-High School, the Academy of Urban Leadership from Perth Amboy took on Koinonia Academy of Plainfield. In a game where both teams struggled offensively, the Jaguars used full court pressure to produce steals for layups to jump out to a 12-2 lead with six minutes left in the half.
Koinonia Academy would battle back though as the Seraphs scored 7 of the last 11 points of the first half, and then scored 11 of the first 15 points of the second half to pull within four at 24-20 with just under a minute to play. However, AUL would prevail though by scoring on a putback with 36 seconds to play, and then connected on a three from the left corner with 15.6 seconds remaining to wrap up the hard fought, 29-20 victory.
