In the second game of the day at the 2017 Coaches vs. Cancer Shootout at Montgomery High School, South Brunswick took on Bridgewater-Raritan.
After the Panthers of Bridgewater-Raritan scored five unanswered points to pull within three at 20-17, South Brunswick scored eight straight points to end the first half, and four of the first six of the third to take a 32-19 lead.
Bridgewater stormed back though with a 24-9 surge over the next eight minutes to take a 43-41 lead with 6:18 remaining. Following a timeout, South Brunswick stepped things up, especially on the defensive end, and closed the game on a 14-1 tear for the 55-44 victory.
