2021 Valley Forge Patriot Invitational Schedule and Bracket

Calvary Christian Representing GMC in Valley Forge University Holiday Tourney

PHOENIXVILLE, PA—On Saturday, GMC Hoops learned that Calvary Christian will be competing again in the Patriot Holiday Invitational taking place at Valley Forge University.  The Lions last played in this tourney back in 2019, and led by all time leading scorer, Brien Dunphy II, won by defeating Baptist Christian (63-38) in the first round, and then downing Coventry Christian (50-44) for the title.

Calvary Christian, which finished 8-7 overall in the COVID shortened 2020-21 season, has started this season’s campaign by winning two of its first three games.  The Lions opened the year by defeating Keansburg (64-42) in a non-conference tilt, and after losing to Wardlaw (61-31) on December 20th, Calvary rebounded with a 68-34 decision over Somerset Tech on December 22nd.

Led by one of the top scorers in the Greater Middlesex Conference last season, Jack Zink, the Lions will be facing off against Bethlehem Christian in the opening round on Monday, December 27th at 4:00 PM.  If the Lions win, they will then face the winner of the nightcap on Monday between Veritas Christian and Coventry Christian in the Championship Game on Tuesday at 3:30 PM.
