Here are highlights from the action in third ranked St. Joseph’s victory over Lakewood in the semifinals of the 2016 Neptune Holiday Jubilee.
The Falcons jumped out to a 19-3 lead, and didn’t let Lakewood get closer than 9 points after that en route to a 55-35 victory. Letrell West led the way with a game high 24 points including four three pointers and a traditional three point play.
Freshman Tyree Taganeca-Ford chipped in with 7 points while seniors Malachi Walker and Mike Granda added 6. Walker also pitched in with 10 rebounds and 6 blocked shots. St. Joe’s, which had 8 threes in the game, outscored Lakewood by a margin of 24-0 from beyond the arc. Zyheir Jones led Lakewood with 9 points while Adi Palmer chipped in with 7.
