OLD BRIDGE, NJ–Week seven brings more coverage of the GMC Red Division with fourth ranked South Brunswick paying a visit to ninth ranked Old Bridge. After starting the season at 0-2 following losses to top ranked Sayreville (28-7) and second ranked Piscataway (28-13), the South Brunswick Vikings have won three in a row including an upset of then fourth ranked Woodbridge (15-7) and a shutout of Monroe (26-0). Meanwhile, Old Bridge has lost two straight to Piscataway (49-14) and Manalapan (40-8). A win for either team would bolster state tournament chances. Here are the particulars for this game:

Weather Forecast–Old Bridge at 7:00 PM EDT on Friday night
A week cold front passed through this morning bringing a passing shower, and after the sun came out, the winds really picked up. Winds were sustained between 15 to 20 miles per hour with gusts up to 30 miles per hour. The temperature has also dropped from the high of 62 this afternoon to the low 50s right now. The mercury will continue to fall into the low 40s with some areas getting down into the upper 30s. The National Weather Service office in Mount Holly has issued an advisory for patchy frost across the Central Jersey region.
The forecast for Old Bridge on Friday and Friday night indicates that this could be the coldest night of the football season to date. High temperature on Friday is only expected to reach the upper 50s while the low is supposed to get down into the upper 30s with some areas possibly reaching the freezing level. Widespread frost could across the area early Saturday. Sky conditions will be mostly clear, or just partly cloudy. A west wind of up to 20 miles per hour will wane to under 10 miles per hour on Friday night. Advice would be to dress warmly.

right into Carl Sandburg Middle School – Lombardi Field.
From the South
- Take the Garden State Parkway North to exit 120. At the top of the exit ramp,
turn right and continue to the 1st traffic light. - Turn right onto CR 689 – Cliffwood Rd and continue to the first light.
- Bear left at the light onto Morristown Rd and continue to its terminus.
- Merge onto NJ 34 North. Continue approximately 1/2 mile to CR 687 – Cottrell Rd.
- Continue on Cottrell Rd for about one mile and make a right onto Route 516.
- Continue on Route 516 for a short distance and make your left into Carl Sandburg Middle School – Lombardi Field.
Game Outlook
After being outscored by a combined margin of 56-20 in their first two games, the South Brunswick Vikings have turned things around with three straight wins by a combined margin of 76-14. On the other side of the coin, Old Bridge has been outscored by a margin of 89-22 after winning two straight by a combined margin of 49-21. The Knights lost their opener to Woodbridge by a score of 41-14. The three losses the Knights have suffered this season was by a combined score of 130-36. Both of these teams run the option offense.
South Brunswick being led by a trio of quarterbacks including Nick Muha, and running back Jevon Tyree. Steven Mychalczuk leads the defense for SBHS while also playing tight end. Sophomore, T.J. Taylor, who also plays basketball like Tyree is a target at wideout. Craig Cleffi joins Tyree in the backfield. Old Bridge is led by the young tandem of Vince Gargano and Aaron Ford along with Chris Pena and David Hobson. Ford had an 88 yard kickoff return against Piscataway while Pena had a nice catch along the OB sideline, and later scored a touchdown in the third quarter against the Chiefs.
