SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–As we approach the 20th Anniversary of the first game ever covered by GMC Hoops between Piscataway and East Brunswick on December 15, 2000 in East Brunswick, we look back on some of the memorable teams from the first 20 years. Below is the 20th Anniversary GMC Hoops Top 25 Group 4 schools led by the 2012-13 East Brunswick Bears consisting of the likes of Rob Ukawuba (NJIT) and Amir Bell (Princeton). The 2012-13 East Brunswick Bears was one of two teams to win the GMC Red other than St. Joe’s since 2010, and defeated the Falcons twice during the regular season before losing to them in the Greatest GMCT Final ever. The 2012-13 St. Joe’s Falcons went on to the NJSIAA TOC Final before losing to Roselle Catholic while EB won the CJ Group 4 title.
