GMC Game Notes–South River vs. Keansburg–Genevieve Hawley Tournament Championship–Henry Hudson–December 28, 2012

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ–What a game for the Championship of the Genevieve Hawley Tournament at Henry Hudson Regional High School between South River and Keansburg. Trailing 54-46 with 5:23 remaining, the Rams rallied to tie the game on a Sean Darrar three with two seconds left, and then the younger Darrar knocked in a triple from the left side off a kickout by Tyler Harris for a 72-71 lead with 18.7 seconds left in overtime. Harris then wrapped up the win with one of two from the line with 1.3 seconds to go for the 73-71 win. Keansburg defeated South River in the final last year at Keansburg. Below are game notes from the contest.

First Quarter

6:33–SR–jumps out to a 9-2 lead on a three by Matt Martinez and baskets by Tim Darrar and Tyler Harris.

5:28–OFF–injury timeout–#20 Tyler Walters–Keansburg injured–walks off on his own power.

4:08–SR–Tyler Harris dribbles in from the left side for a jumper at the foul line for a 13-5 lead.
