Here are highlights from the action between Monroe and Sayreville in a GMC White Clash in mid-February 2014. The Monroe Falcons led by nine at one point in the first half, and had a 26-21 lead with five minutes to go in the first half when Sayreville closed the half with an 11-6 run including a three pointer in the closing seconds of the second period by senior guard Rob Seraji to tie the score at 32-32 at the break.
Then, in the third the Bombers went on an 11-4 run after Monroe opened the second half with a three, and then following a timeout, scored 12 unanswered points including a two handed jam by Jehvye Floyd to take a 55-39 lead. Sayreville coasted from there to an 81-62 victory. Seraji ended up with a team high 21 points while Floyd chipped in with 16. Malik Pressley (15 points) and Corey Taite (14 points) also scored in double figures. Matt Cocorikis led all scorers with a game high 26 points for Monroe while Chris Germano added 17 in the loss.
