Here are highlights from the action in the GMC Blue Clash between top ranked Cardinal McCarrick and 9th ranked Spotswood. It was all Eagles in this contest as they jumped out to a 15-2 lead late in the first quarter, and never looked back. McCarrick got off to a fast start in the second period as well with a 20-6 surge for a 35-13 lead before Spotswood scored the last 7 points of the first half. From there, Cardinal McCarrick cruised to a surprisingly easy, 69-34 victory. Gilberto Cue and Nyquan McCombs each led a balanced attack with 14 points while Hodari Bazemore and Bryan Harris each added 10, and Elijah Mitchell chipped in with 9. Marlon Hart led Spotswood with 7 points and 5 boards while Matt Ciaccio chipped in with 6 points and 8 rebounds.
