GMC Hoops to Give Wall to Wall Coverage of Friends of South Amboy Benefit Showcase

Site to Cover All Four Games Including Sayreville vs. Bishop Ahr and South Amboy vs. Calvary Christian

SOUTH AMBOY, NJ–On Monday afternoon, GMC Hoops announced that it will cover all four games at the upcoming Friends of South Amboy Benefit Showcase scheduled for December 17th at South Amboy Middle-High School.

The site has covered the event in each of its first four years including two memorable overtime classics between South Amboy and the now defunct Cardinal McCarrick, and last year’s last second thriller between the hometown Guvs and Sayreville. This year, the site is going one step further by covering all four games of the day there.

Those four games will include a first for the web site. This year’s showcase will mark the first time that GMC Hoops will cover a middle school level game as South Amboy will take on Calvary Christian in a Middle School boys game. Following that game, GMC Hoops will also cover the Varsity Girls matchup between South Amboy and Calvary Christian.

The day will conclude with two varsity boys contests involving three teams from the Greater Middlesex Conference. Sayreville and South Amboy return to play in this year’s showcase after coming together to play a heck of a nightcap game in last year’s showcase. Bishop Ahr, which has several players from Sayreville on its roster, will also take part in the event.

Proceeds from this event will benefit Breanna Hathcock, a local resident and South Amboy Middle-High School graduate who is currently battling cancer. Below is the schedule for the event:
