Vujadinovic Already Seeing Action at Assumption College

Recent St. Joseph’s Grad Averaging 5.3 PPG for Greyhounds from Northeast-10

WORCESTER, MA–Recent St. Joseph’s graduate, Branislav Vujadinovic, the 2016 GMC Hoops Defensive Player of the Year, is already making a mark at Assumption College in Massachusetts.

The sharpshooter from Belgrade, Serbia, who signed a Letter of Intent to play for the Greyhounds back in April, has seen action in each of Assumption’s first five games. Vujadinovic has played in all four regular season games plus an exhibition against Holy Cross, and is averaging 20 minutes, 5.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per game.

Overall, Vujadinovic is only shooting 8 of 24 from the floor for just 33 percent, but he’s shot very well from beyond the arc by making 5 of 14 three point attempts for 35.7 percent. So far, his two best games have been at home against Nyack on November 12th, where he scored 6 points in 22 minutes on 2 of 4 shooting from the floor including 2 of 3 from long distance, and versus Saint Michael’s on November 19th, where he collected 8 points on 3 of 6 shooting including 2 of 4 from three point range.

So far this season, Assumption is 2-2 overall on the season after winning its last two games over last year’s Northeast-10 conference semifinalist and NCAA Division II East Regional Champion, Stonehill (74-59) on November 16th, and Saint Michael’s (82-78) several days later. Last season, the Greyhounds finished 6-20 overall including a 2-19 mark in the Northeast-10. The Northeast-10 has had its fare share of former GMC standouts.

The list of former players from the Greater Middlesex Conference include: A.J. Rudowitz (Stonehill), Nick Smith (Stonehill), Vince Rosario (Stonehill), Dan Brix (Stonehill), Jermaine Clark (St. Rose), Kyle Pearson (Pace), and Corey Boland (Wardlaw). Currently, there are a couple of other former GMC players playing in the Northeast-10 including Dillon Salva (Merrimack) and Jordan Lackey (Franklin-Pierce).
