Fall League Hoops Update–GMC vs. Non-Conference Opponents–November 18, 2010

GMC Played Well Against Shore Conference and CVC, But Took Lumps From Skyland and BCSL

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–We have just ended play in all three fall leagues this season, and GMC Hoops decided to take a look at all the fall leagues being covered by the site this year, and see how all the GMC teams playing performed against non-conference opponents. So far, the conference has played against four other conferences this fall in 116 games, and has gone 63-53. All the results are in, and now it is time to take a look at how the GMC did this fall.

The GMC has gone 19-3 against non-conference opponents at the Hoop Group Headquarters Fall League, 27-19 at the Monroe Sports Center Fall League, and 17-31 at the Immaculata Fall League. Greater Middlesex Conference teams have gone 24-7 against Shore Conference foes so far this fall, and 22-12 versus Colonial Valley Conference opponents. However, the GMC has been getting beat up by the Skyland Conference teams with only a 14-30 mark. GMC teams are 1-4 against the Burlington County Scholastic League this fall. Note: Metuchen won its opening night game over Steinert, but then dropped out of the Monroe Sports Center Fall League.
