Amboy Tech’s Jordan Little Named to 2015 NJSCA All-Star Basketball Classic Roster

Lone GMC Representative in Annual All-Star Showcase; Game Scheduled for Sunday at Rider University

ROBBINSVILLE, NJ–On Saturday afternoon, GMC Hoops learned that Jordan Little of Perth Amboy Tech was named to the South All-Star Boys roster for the 2015 NJSCA All-Star Basketball Classic scheduled to take place on Sunday afternoon at Rider University. Little, who helped lead Amboy Tech to a share of the GMC Gold Division crown, is the lone representative from the Greater Middlesex Conference in the showcase event. This past season, Little connected on 219 field goals and 84 foul shots for a total of 522 points, or an average of 20.9 points per game. He also grabbed a total of 506 rebounds, or an average of 20.2 per game. With 1,174 career points and exactly 1,300 rebounds, Little is the only player in the 15 year history of GMC Hoops to collect 1,000 or more points and rebounds during a career.

In addition to claiming a share of the GMC Gold for the first time since the 2004-05 season, Little helped lead Amboy Tech to its first CJ Group I semifinals appearance since 2009 when it lost to Asbury Park. In the semifinals, Amboy Tech lost to eventual champion, Shore Regional, which then lost to Paulsboro (51-50) in the state semifinals. Paulsboro went on to win the Group I Championship, and then defeated Bergenfield in the opening round of the 2015 Tournament of Champions. The Patriots ended up with a 19-6 overall record including a 15-4 mark in conference play, and a 14-2 record in divisional play. His best game of the season came against South River on January 2nd when he collected 38 points and 35 rebounds in a 94-67 victory at PAVT. Besides contending with a solid Dunellen squad, Amboy Tech also faced strong challenges from Piscataway Tech and South River, which all had 10 wins or more in divisional play.

The 2015 NJSCA All-Star Boys Game will take place at 12:00 PM at Rider University. At the half of the game, there will be a Slam Dunk competition. Following the boys game, the 2015 NJSCA All-Star Girls Game will take place at 2:30 PM with a three point competition occurring at halftime.
