GMC Boys Basketball Divisional Alignments for 2016-17

Monroe and Stevens Move Up to Red; North Brunswick Moves Down and JFK Moves Up to White; South Plainfield Moves Down and South River Moves Up to Blue

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ–With the 2016-17 Greater Middlesex Conference Boys Basketball season less than a month away, it is time to take a look at the division alignments for the 2016-17 season as well as the 2017-18 season.

The four divisions: Red, White, Blue, and Gold will be taking on an 8-7-7-8 alignment over the next two seasons. The Red Division will have 8 teams with the departure of North Brunswick to the White and the arrival of J.P. Stevens and Monroe from the White. The GMC White will have 7 teams with South Plainfield moving down to the Blue division while J.F. Kennedy moves up from the Blue.

Speaking of the Blue Division, South River moves up from the Gold to give that portion of the conference seven teams. With the Rams leaving for the Blue, the GMC Gold will have 8 teams this season. Below is a look at the new division alignments for the next two seasons in GMC Boys Basketball:

Gold Division

  • Piscataway Tech
