Nashaelah Hooker was the only senior on a Colonia girls basketball team that went from 7-20 a year ago to 20-4 this year. Hooker’s rebounding and shot blocking played a huge role, earning her GMC Hoops’ Red National Division Windex Award.
Colonia Dominates Division Honors
SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – GMC Hoops continues its GMC Hoops Awards for 2025-26 as well as proceeds with its end-of-season recap. We move on with a look at the Greater Middlesex Conference’s Red American Division accolades. The Colonia Lady Patriots completed a superb turnaround season led by head coach Jill Bachonski and the likes of Ariana Sosa and Nashaelah Hooker. Spotswood, led by Gabrielle Hill, and Middlesex, led by Avery Iskra, were very competitive as well.
