The Raiders jumped out to a 19-11 first quarter lead thanks to Pranay Bhanadre, who sank three treys en route to 11 first half points. Colts Neck responded with a 20-10 outscoring in the second that included an 11-4 tear late in the first half for a 31-29 lead at the break.
The two teams then exchanged the lead 5 times in the third along with 2 ties before North Brunswick took a 47-44 lead late in the period. However, Colts Neck managed to advance thanks to a 15-1 tear that lasted until about midway through the fourth period for a 59-48 lead. The Cougars led by 9 with 1:04 remaining, but the Raiders didn’t quit thanks to LJ Williams, who scored a game high 26 points to pull NBTHS within 4 with 25 seconds to play. Colts Neck, which had five players score in double figures including Tom Reilly, who had a team high 15 points, still hung on for a 69-66 victory.
